CAD Modelling
To bring design concepts to life, Solidworks is used to create 3D CAD models. These are usually then taken into the Keyshot rendering package to make final design visuals, and used to create the engineering drawings seen on this website.

CAD models have also been used for Solidworks FEA/MFA, Sustainability analysis, 3D prints [at refinement and final model stages] and mould tool creation within my time at university- allowing me to recognise the power of the software.
Cordless Power Drill Model
CAD model inc all internal components of a Cordless Power Drill design. The model was used to create a full scale, accurate 3D print model of individual components joined together. [Year 4, 2022]
Portable BBQ Model
CAD model of a Portable BBQ design, including utensils. From this model, a General Assembly Drawing was produced as well as renders in Keyshot. [Year 3, 2021]
Domestic EV Charger Model
Domestic EV Charger CAD model for a design project that was themed around sustainability. The model was used within Solidworks' sustainability add-in to conduct research into making the design more sustainable. [Year 3, 2020]
Inter-City Train WC Interior Model
Interior design of a CrossCountry branded train WC, as part of a group design project for a re-design of a whole train carriage interior. [Year 2, 2020]
Tassimo Pod Holder Model
CAD model of a Tassimo Pod holder design. The model was used for FEA/MFA analysis in Solidworks, and an injection mould tool for the holder was created in the application too. [Year 3, 2020]
Fizzy Drink Maker Model
Fizzy Drink Maker CAD model design including internal components and matching bottle design for the process. [Year 2, 2019]
Outdoor Cafe Furniture Model
CAD model created with the sheet metal and weldment tools within Solidworks for a manufacture based project. [Year 3, 2021]
Shopping Self-Scanner Model
CAD model of a Shopping Self-Scanner, with standard component internals. A full scale 3D print was produced of this to verify ergonomic considerations. [Year 2, 2020]
