Engineering Drawings

Engineering Drawings are an important skill I have been able to practice at university, as so often it is vital link between the designer and the toolmaker/manufacturer.

A range of different drawings have been produced, including General Assemblies, Detail Drawings & Exploded Views. The following examples have all been produced from CAD models in Solidworks.

Portable BBQ Drawings

General Assembly and two Detail Drawings [of the main steel BBQ body and a PP utensil storage case], including the main dimensions and tolerances for manufacture.          [Year 3, 2021]

Accessible Cutlery Drawings

Detail Drawings for a Fork, Knife and Spoon that were designed for those with limited hand dexterity out of Stainless Steel. Section views are included to help the manufacturer understand the complex geometry of the part.                    [Year 3, 2021]

Shopping   Self-Scanner Drawings

General Assembly, Exploded View and two Detail Drawings of a shopping scanner project. The deliverables for this required complete dimensioning across both Detail Drawings, and the whole set produced had to meet stringent standards set out in a document by a design tutor. [Year 2, 2020]
